VACATION HOUSE

Year: 2022

Location: Kőröshegy, Hungary

Architects: Andrei Durloi, Perényi Flóra

Collage: Kardos Orsolya

Kőröshegy is an exceptionally situated village on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, as, unlike other settlements, it is not a flat but a hilly settlement with a wonderful view of the lake. The central element of the planned house is the inner, lowered courtyard, which is also the arrival point and the common space in front of the wine cellar and the guest rooms. The open courtyard is surrounded by a vine-covered pergola in the garden, which forms part of the house. With its small floor area and brick-wood structure, the house fits in with its surroundings and the houses around.
