The competition was for a public square in front of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest to celebrate its 250th anniversary. The planned concept is primarily to create a place that is linked to the science represented by the MTA, but also a destination for walkers, families and school classes. The main element will be an ensemble of a large table and 11 chairs (symbolizing the 11 scientific departments of the MTA), next to 3 new trees on the grassy area near the Academy. The other element of the composition is a "found object": a tree in the middle of the square, planted in 1789, which is the oldest acacia tree in Budapest. Its existing support would be replaced by a new wooden support with benches at the lower joints. The third element of the proposal is the paving connection between the proposed and the existing element.
