In the city of Velence, located on the shores of the lake of the same name, we received the commission of planning a 22 apartment residential building.

The design of the building is completely conditioned by the shape and location of the plot. In order to adapt to the physical landscape, the volume of the building is fragmented and placed in the border of the pentagonal plot in the shape of two L’s. In this way a common ‘piazza’ is created in the center of the plot which is protected from the noise of the nearby highway. The apartments are facing their own private terraces that provide the building with a human scale and protects the apartments from the noise while bringing light and nature inside.
